Free Pricing Self-Assessment Tool Now Available from Atenga, Inc.
Westlake Village, CA --Any company desiring to measure their pricing practices against industry best practices can now use a new web-based tool to make that assessment. Available on Atenga’s website, the tool measures any company’s pricing practices against industry best practice. Topics include data resources, organizational focus, pricing priority, sales practices, and others.
Upon completion of the assessment, a quantitative score will be provided that enables a company to benchmark their pricing practices. With this score, the degree of any company’s opportunity for improvement will be revealed, showing executives where a focus on best practice pricing will lead to immediately improved business results.
“We have been providing this service to our clients for years. Pricing strategy and best practice is especially important in an economic downturn as it helps fend off downward pricing pressure and commoditization.” says Per Sjofors, Founder and CEO of Atenga. He continues to say, “In an environment like this when all of the cost cutting has been done, it is time to focus on the value provided to the consumer, and capture a larger portion of that value with Value Optimized Pricing methodologies.”
Atenga’s focus in 2009 will be largely on educating executives on the new pricing paradigm labeled Value Optimized Pricing. While the methodology is fairly new to the US, it has been deployed across Europe for the past decade. This free assessment is part of our ongoing education process. Atenga has previously announced a series of free webinars that will cover Best Practice Pricing and the methodologies that surround them.
“We understand that the concepts and methodologies will be new to most executives as they rarely teach best practice pricing in business schools” says Sjofors. “We find that most companies use a ’gut feel’ approach, such as cost plus or market pricing, but these methods of pricing are a shot in the dark and often lead to misaligned prices and sub par business results.”
