Pricing Authority Announces a New Informative Webinar Series Covering the Use of Pricing as a Strategic lever for Growing Profits in a Declining Economy

Atenga, Inc., the country’s leading strategic price consulting organization, has announced that it will be offering monthly webinars for the general business community.

Westlake Village, CA -- Atenga’s goal is to expose executives of manufacturing and service companies to the paradigm shift in how companies can use price as the strategic lever to grow revenues and profits -- even in a declining economy.  The new pricing paradigm, Value Optimized Pricing, has been deployed across Europe for the past 20 years and it is only now being introduced into the US market by Atenga.

“It amazes me that the typical methodologies for establishing Pricing Policies are largely based on ‘gut feel’ rather than on hard data and statistical methodologies,” say Per Sjofors, Founder and CEO of Atenga.

However, because the vast majority of companies do establish their prices this way, it presents an immediate opportunity to improve business results.

Sjofors continues to say, “The clients that we work with have done all that they can to survive in the current economic climate, including major cost cutting and layoffs.  They are amazed that implementing a sound pricing process consistently leads to double digit returns on investment in as little as one quarter.”

The typical executive has not been exposed to the Value Optimized Pricing methodologies and they are not subjects covered by most business schools.  “We understand the need for quality education on the subject and that the methodologies and concepts will be new to most.  For that reason we are putting a heavy emphasis on Pricing education in 2009 to do what we can to help companies grow their business and prepare for optimism.” Says Sjofors.

The Webinar series is set to launch Tuesday, April 21st with a general overview of Best Practice Pricing and the concepts and methodologies associate with them.  Atenga will also share case studies of what they call Pricing Champions, companies that have used Pricing as a strategic lever and the success that they realized.  Interested parties can register on the Atenga’s website at www.atenga.com.  Follow up webinars in the series will provide more detailed information on individual concepts and how they can be deployed immediately to improve business results.
